Tatoosh
Range and The Tatoosh Range, south of Mt. Rainier, rises high in the background of the this photo. Running across the middle of the image is Mazama Ridge, with its subalpine trees and meadows, and occasional snow patches (even into late July). The foreground reveals barren rocky soil and some stunted trees of the high subalpine zone. Picture was taken from Panorama Point (6800 ft - 2074 m) on Mt. Rainier. |
